Jamaica plays USA in friendly on April 11

Reggae Boyz will face the United States in a friendly international on April 11 in Cary, North Carolina. The game will give the USA's coach Bruce Arena a final look at his players before he names his 23-man squad for the World Cup finals. For the Reggae Boyz, it will serve as part of their continued development and will give younger players a chance to impress coach Wendell Downswell ahead their encounter with England in June.
In 16 matches against the U.S since 1998, Jamaica has never beaten their North American neighbors as the U.S. has won nine times and the other seven matches ending in draws. The U.S. open their World Cup campaign on June 12 against the Czech Republic followed by matches against Italy on June 17 and Ghana on June 22. The Boyz, who failed to qualify for the World Cup, last played a friendly international in October when they lost 5-0 to Australia in England. Read more in the forum
